Seven Celo Pacific riders traveled to Portland to compete in the most
intense cross race of the year. All of the races were held in
extremely muddy conditions that required lots of running through
deep slop despite no barriers on the circuit. It was tough and many
of the fields had 100+ riders. Complete

Cyclocross rounds 3 and 4 were held in Gloucester, MA.
Day 1 - After a bad start and a wheel mechanical, Celo's Brent
Prenzlow switched bikes and steadily worked his way up to 28th .
On day 2, BP bounced back to take 20th in a deep 85 rider field. Day 2
was a UCI Cat 1 event.

- Temecula Omnium Stage Race - Celo
riders John Behrens & Brent Prenzlow raced in the large 115 rider Pro/1/2
field, but did not score pts, which only went 14 deep. Tony Smith, who
just upgraded to Cat 4, placed 3rd in the TT and 12th Overall, despite
crashing in the final lap of the Criterium.
Masters State Criterium Championships will be at Barrio Logan on Sat, May
1st, and the Masters State Road Race Championships will be at Vandenburg
on Sat, June 5th. Our
San Luis Rey Road Race follows Barrio Logan as usual on May 2nd.
Road Race, held 60 miles east of San Diego, is the traditional road
season-opener in So Cal and had very competive fields. Celo Pacific had 3
racing - Brent Prenzlow, 10th, Masters 35+, Chan Huynh, 10th, Cat 5a, and
John Behrens, Pro/1/2.
