Brent Prenzlow, ready to race the Pro/1/2.
His set up: Bailey
full carbon, Dura-ace 10 speed, Zipp 404s. 16.2 lbs.

Rock Racing's Brock Curry receives "The
Plan" from David Clinger, who would go on to win the race.

Ready to race. Mike Onkels, Brent Prenzlow,
and Adam Livingston catch up before the start. The three were teammates in the
Gatorade Pro/1/2 cycling team in 1995/96.

The Men's Pro/1/2 Start. 81 miles and 7000'
of climbing to go!

A 7-rider break was established on the
first lap led here by Kahala-LaGrange's Adrian Gerrits. Also pictured are Ben
Brooks (Team Type 1), Phillip Gaimon (Fiordifrutta), and Chris Walker (Time
Factory Team).

The Men's Pro/1/2 main field climbs up to
make the right-hander onto old 395 a.k.a. the "feed zone climb"

The Pro breakaway continues to be strong
and gain time.

Feed Zone Frenzy! The Cat 3 field comes
into the often chaotic feed zone.

The Men's Pro breakaway continues to drive
hard and will not be brought back this time.

The Women's Pro/1/2 field climbs feed zone
hill. In the center is 16-year old Coryn Rivera (Kahala LaGrange), who would go
on to finish a fantastic 2nd! Just ahead of Coryn, is second place finisher
Melodie Metzger (PROMAN).

The WINNING Move! David Clinger (Rock
Racing) flies away from the rest of the break on the final climb of feedzone
hill. Clinger's attack was matched by Ben Brooks (Team Type I) and Adam
Livingston (5 Star Waste Vegetable Oil), but Clinger was too strong and would
take the 3-up sprint at the finish anyway. Congrats to all 3!
